ESBD Founders established this Society to focus solely on their Plight..and to work relentlessly on achieving our DREAM THAT ONE DAY AN EGYPTIAN CHILD BEST FRIEND IS AN EGYPTIAN BALADI DOG........ We are very proud of the name of our Society as it has raised Awareness in itself and therefore the profile of the wonderful Native Baladi Dog...................... We are very proud of the name of our Society as it has raised Awareness in itself and therefore the profile of the wonderful Native Baladi Dog...................... Our Philosophy The Native Baladi Dog is a creature of God. Being born in this land is entitled to share it with members of the community and to be FREE from FEAR,DISEASE,HUNGER, HOMELESSNESS AND TORTURE................... Our Mission is To enrich the Community by promoting Awareness of the Native Baladi Dog among its members. After 15 years since the inception of Animal Welfare NGOs in Egypt ,.Animal Welfare we believe , should now enter the second phase of its mission .....We are Focusing on Awareness and aim to take Animal Welfare beyond the boundaries of a SHELTER into the street............. In order to deal with the roots of the problem .. we are targeting CULTURED Neighborhoods where poverty as an issue does not exist ....There is a dog culture still at its infancy and is yet to mature .. Our goal is to help it mature and in time to treacle down to the bottom of the pyramid......To that end we promote Awareness, especially amongst Children and Youth and encourage role models who would become inspiring Animal Welfare leaders within their families ,community ,clubs, schools and Colleges...etc Discourage Puppy Mills , Dog import and Exploitative Breeding ,Unethical Pet Shops and accentuate the merits of the Native Baladi Dog ........... On a STATE National level we endeavour at all times , to communicate with GOVT Authorities ,collaborate and cooperate with other NGOs for the enhancement and enforcement of Animal welfare Laws... To promote Health AWARENESS through Mass Vaccination as a National Policy as well as Community based TNR programs in place of the Draconian methods such as the use of poison especially Strychanine or shooting ..We are for the promotion of LIFE and not DEATH.....To that end we have initiated the following projects 1)Street Semi Ownership 2)Neighborhood Watch Groups 3)We also initiated this request for A SIMPLE ACT OF COMPASSION last AUGUST 2014 Show More Show Less
